Steamy & Co is a street food pop-up serving bao, dumplings and ramen since 2018. The menu centres on these East Asian street food staples, inspired by the historic craftsmanship behind these delicious dishes, and the limitless creative possibilities they offer.
Hot Stuff is the Bermondsey-based brainchild of Steamy & Co, a line of small-batch chilli products for food lovers to use to their hearts content as ingredients and condiments to enhance their meals with taste and colour.
Mission statement
We started Hot Stuff during the hardest year of our professional lives. As with all street food purveyors, the Covid-19 pandemic wiped out Steamy & Co’s income for more than a year. We needed to find joy and make sense of the crazy time we were in, and fermenting chillis in the kitchen, designing labels and connecting with independent food businesses in our neighbourhood kept us inspired and focused. The three of us have struggled with our mental health in the past, relying on the support of each other and loved ones, and it’s paramount to us to pay it forward.
Our mission statement is to develop, sell and market our products with good mental health in mind. Each year, we will be reserving a portion of our profits for grassroots initiatives that support mental health and wellbeing, and we can’t wait to share that journey with you all.
